Indications

• Vaginal candidiasis

Forms and strengths, route of administration

• 100 000 IU vaginal tablet

Dosage and duration

• Adult: one tablet once daily at bedtime for 14 days. Tablets must be moistened and inserted high into the vagina.

Contra-indications, adverse effects, precautions

• May cause (rarely): local irritation, allergic reactions.
• Pregnancy: no contra-indication
• Breast-feeding: no contra-indication

Remarks

• Do not interrupt treatment during menstruation.
• Prefer clotrimazole 500 mg vaginal tablet as a single dose for this indication.

Storage

– Below 25 °C

Once a tablet is removed from the packaging,it must be used immediately.
